Francie has been self-employed as a clinician since 1997. Prior to that time, she worked for nearly 25 years in the natural foods and supplements industry. She held a variety of managerial positions, including one as Clinical Nutritionist for two, Eugene based Wild Oats stores. In this capacity, she gave lectures on a variety of health topics, developed health strategies for store customers, wrote newsletter articles and gave media interviews. She was also a featured speaker at a women's health conference where the keynote speaker was former U.S. Surgeon General, Dr. Jocelyn Elders.

In the nineties, Francie developed expertise in clinical fitness management as manager of the Nutrition department at a local gym. The program integrated healthy diet principles, appropriate supplementation, exercise planning and ongoing fitness assessments to assure consistent fat loss over the 6-12 week time frame of the program.

Recently, she served as a volunteer on the Springfield 4-J school districts Wellness Policy Committee. This group of health professionals, educators, administrators and community members developed the policy which is now the basis for combating obesity in Lane County's children.

Francie's Bachelor of Science degree in Gerontology and Master of Science degree in Health Education were both earned from the University of Oregon. Francie recently completed certification as a Sports Nutritionist (CISSN).

Philosophy

Francie believes that when the body is in a state of metabolic balance, it is much easier to achieve optimal health, fitness, energy and the right lean mass to body fat ratio. Her goal is to identify and correct underlying imbalances, thus allowing the client to age without progressive disease.
